  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small carrot, diced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dried thyme
  • 2 unbaked pie crusts (9-inch)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, then add onions, garlic, and carrots. Cook until soft.
  4. Stir in flour, then gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and cover with the second crust. Seal edges and cut slits for steam release. Brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
