  • 500g chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, coat the chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
  2. Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until browned (about 5-7 minutes), then remove and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, and sliced bell peppers for about 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp. Add the chicken back to the pan.
  4. Pour in the combined sauce ingredients (soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey) and stir for about 2-3 minutes until everything is coated.
  5. Serve immediately over warm cooked white rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
