Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large sweet onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 2 teaspoons chili onion crunch
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or regular)
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning blend
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Peel the onions and cut a hole about 1-inch in diameter in the top of each onion, scooping out enough to create a well.
  3. Place half a tablespoon of butter in each onion well.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the remaining butter and mix in the chili onion crunch, garlic, spices, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly into each onion well, adding some on the sides.
  6. Wrap each onion in aluminum foil and place them in a baking dish.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until fork-tender. If not tender yet, continue baking until soft.
