  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream for filling
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar for filling
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips for ganache
  • ½ cup heavy cream for ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. For each layer (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry), mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add eggs, milk (or fruit juice), oil, and vanilla; blend until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Let layers cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  5. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar for filling; prepare ganache by heating heavy cream and mixing it with dark chocolate chips until smooth.
  6. Assemble the cake by layering with cream filling in between and topping it with ganache.
