Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup fruit juice (e.g., apple or orange) or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the fruit juice (or chicken broth), brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, pepper, and salt until combined. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the glaze, reserving some for later use.
  4. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). For extra caramelization, broil for the last 1–2 minutes.
  5. Drizzle any reserved glaze over the cooked salmon and serve with lemon wedges.
